@zonaeagle I spoke with Grace Wong, VP's producer at CourtTV, outside the courthouse in Dedham for over 30 minutes. She went on at length about how no one at CourtTV actually believes the conspiracy narrative and how many of them personally dislike Karen.

So I asked her directly, if that’s the case, why push the narrative so hard?

Her answer was simple: ratings. “It’s what the people want, so that’s what we give them.”

Take that for what it’s worth. For me, it was a remarkable insight straight from the source.

If Karen Read had nothing to do with John O'Keefe's death, she had no reason to believe that anything had happened to him. But rather than ask a simple, open ended question, such as, "Where is John?," she behaves as if she knows he's already dead or badly injured.

As I have noted before, no seasoned prosecutor would buy what the defense was selling. Seasoned prosecutors have heard every lame excuse and bat-shit crazy, "exculpatory" explanation you can imagine. I cannot think of one experienced prosecutor who find the defense theory even remotely plausible - never mind worth investigating.

She didn’t say:
“John didn’t come home, did he crash at Brian’s?”

That would be the normal question if you believed you dropped him off at a house full of people.

Instead, she immediately lies:
“We got into a fight. I left him at the Waterfall.”

Then she calls Kerry and blurts out:
“John’s dead.” Click. Calls back.
“He’s dead. He was hit by a snow plow.” Before anyone has found him. Before anyone knows anything.
Who jumps straight to death? Who jumps straight to vehicle strike?

Someone who already knows the ending and is trying to get ahead of it.
