@ayeedayy@EggPlatypus Essentially, USDC is seeing rapid adoption as a store of value / digital wallet in developing countries than $SQ and other fintech companies. Can others replicate? Sure. But if USDC builds network density before others act, could it serve as a moat? Absolutely.
@ayeedayy@EggPlatypus Here’s a good use case (and what has allowed USDC to skyrocket in the past few weeks). Essentially, in developing countries with unstable local currencies, USDC and Tether are quickly becoming the “currency” of choice over USD and local fiat.

@vnnnnnnnnnv @EggPlatypus USDC’s AUM is growing at just under $1B/week (ie 2% per week), so that won’t be a concern for the foreseeable future. Income is a product of AUM and rate, and both are going up rapidly.
@EggPlatypus@yassineARK any thoughts on this from you? It would be good to get a perspective on Circle’s TTS as well, if there’s anything you could share
@EggPlatypus also if anybody cares, @ARKInvest owns 10% of the float and started adding $CND over the past few days again. They’re in the PIPE as well, along with Fidelity and Third Point. Good to have long term investors holding the fort for trading dynamics.
@EggPlatypus Great thread - one additional thing I’ll note here is that the growth train doesn’t stop in 2023. In 2024, even without further rate raises from the fed, CND should get $100B AUM * 2.25% avg rate = $2.25B in interest income. That’s $1.2B+ in EBITDA!
1/14 A thread on $CND/Circle and why this is now 75% of my portfolio... This is far and away the most overlooked SPAC on the market. Given the updated expectations on Fed rate hikes, the deal, struck back in Jul '21, is currently criminally undervalued. Read on...
@WallStVet There was a single 2.6M candle at 10:42am - that alone tells you that the float is NOT 0.8M. You can’t turn around 3x the float in a minute.
