We had another successful SPECCHIO tutorial at EARSeL SIG-IS in Valencia. Thanks to the active participation, we now also got an example of how to start the Jpype Java-Python bridge under Windows: https://t.co/E3CzQFidsO
Support for the combination of MacOS Sonoma and M2 processor family: the newest client installer now installs SPECCHIO packaged to look like a MacApp with an updated JavaAppLauncher under the hood to also work on machines like the MacStudio.
Interactive data exploration: new flexible plotting windows for improved interaction.
New client is available for download on https://t.co/iCVNGowdgb.
This version also features Microtops II file support and improved metadata loading for the SVC HR1024i.
Happy Spectroscopy!
We are en route to routinely calibrate and check our field spectroradiometers for improved airborne CAL/VAL. Step 1 was to calibrate our integrating sphere, now traceable to PTB.
Read all about it in part 1 of our upcoming paper series:

Updated the SVC sig file loading capability: a new preference lets you ignore reference and reflectance columns and load only target signatures.
Useful for calibration studies where only target data are of interest.
Latest build is available here: https://t.co/5rG28k3Txv
Just updated the SVC file reader to deal with date ambiguities. If multiple date solutions are possible, the user can now choose which formatter to apply during the current data load.
Get the latest client on our build server: https://t.co/5rG28k3Txv
Update to the metadata attributes in support of instrument calibration: we are working towards ASD spectral and radiometric calibration as part of a #SENSECO WG4 short term scientific mission.
This is DB version 3.35, now also on GitHub.
The long awaited Uncertainty Support for SPECCHIO has arrived!
Read all about it in our latest publication: https://t.co/Nrfe7kSDfh
The new feature is now available on our public SPECCHIO database; please feel free to test it.
Supported by https://t.co/hFzixj0o4I and #SENSECO.
A quick overview video on why and how to organise your spectral data using SPECCHIO is now available through COST Action #SENSECO: https://t.co/c7pngHKR6A
Just updated the SPECCHIO client to fix a bug when writing ENVI header files. New client is ready for download on the SPECCHIO page.
Apologies for the recurring certificate issues on our web page!
For all of those interested in automation: here is an example how to find spectral data via a full text search:
specchio_client.getSpectrumIdsMatchingFullTextSearch("UAV Based Goniometer")

New article about SPECCHIO is now available online and open access!
Learn more about SPECCHIO and cite this article if you reference SPECCHIO in your work: https://t.co/9VoowUs5T4
The SPECCHIO client is updated to circumnavigate recent certificate issues. The issues caused by newer builds of Java should not appear if started via the MacOS SPECCHIO app or via the Windows app shortcuts placed in the list of programs.
Please upgrade your SPECCHIO clients!
SPECCHIO VM is now updated to work again after a Java update caused problems! For more details on how to deal with this issue in your local client installation see: https://t.co/sVlYtPibAl
The latest client is now also showing an info if this Java version related error happens:
SENSECO COST Action is organising a training school this Sept. in Bulgaria. Topics are: biophysical parameters retrieval, time series analysis, data quality and uncertainty in field spectroscopy and radiative transfer.
