If by “fastball” you mean stealing a term that @TheCousinSal dropped last year, then yes he’s throwing heat 🙄

[Ballsack Sports @BallsackSports]

Gramps still has the fastball

[Scott Mortensen @SPUR_iosity]

@SleeperBengals @DerekRury not a bad strategy eh?

[Robert Royce @SIX_BWgaming]

@SportsCenter Proud of ya Russ, enjoyed watching you play in the nba!

We’re going to retire that jersey the minute we have a team in Seattle again

[dank @cptdankkk]

Gary Payton says he refuses to let the Oklahoma City Thunder retire his jersey because it would be disrespectful to Seattle

“Oklahoma City fans never watched me play a game in Oklahoma City. Who watched me play all the time, Seattle fans. Why would I disrespect the Seattle fans by going up there, getting in a celebration on a court, and let them get that when I've disrespected them”

“I'll never do that ever in life. The fans in Seattle are the ones who supported me and got me to where I wanted to be. It's nothing against Oklahoma City. I never played one day in Oklahoma City, so I'm not doing that. It's only right for me to respect the people in Seattle for that, and I won't”

[NBABase @TheNBABase]

Jalen Brunson on why he went to hug Spurs HC Mitch Johnson before his father after the win:

"I hugged and said what's up to Coach Johnson from the Spurs first, just to show respect… It was just kind of instinct, like how I was raised. I think win or loss, you show respect regardless of the outcome. I’ve got a lot of respect for them over there." 💯♥️

[Josh Paredes @Josh810]

"It's an honor and blessing [to play in SA]. The city has welcomed me with huge arms. Even when we weren't winning, they were super supportive. We're playing for San Antonio. We're nothing without these fans. We know these first two games are going to be crazy."

Greetings, @NBA Finals.

✅ NEW @YahooSports: Over the weekend, SGA fell on shot attempts more than Brunson, Harden, Mitchell and Wemby combined.

Why does he do it so often? Probably because it works. I tracked how often he gets a foul call when he falls compared to his peers: https://t.co/YCMXwaroKd

[Polymarket Hoops @PolymarketHoops]

Jay Williams says he can’t root for the Thunder because of all the FOUL BAITING 😬

“As a fan of the game, I just want to see the game respected. There are times where I watch OKC play, I don’t feel like they respect the process of the game. It’s too much foul baiting. When you fall down 95% of every shot you take in the 4th, I get physiologically exhausted”

🚨TRENDING: Scientists have released new research on SGA's flopping in the playoffs:

-He falls on 11% of shots he's NOT fouled on
-He falls on 51% of shots he IS fouled on
-He falls on 17% of all shots he takes

He leads the league in all 3 categories, via @Yahoo

[SpursRΞPORTΞR @SpursReporter]

“This is all on video… Shai is flopping… Hartenstein and Chet are fouling Wemby all the time…

@MaxKellerman calls it like he sees it but Oklahoma City refuses to acknowledge. He tells @RichPaul4 that either the refs are HORRIBLE or they’re doing as instructed. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Shai flopped on every single shot attempt.

OK I did it. I tracked over 1,000 shots for SGA, Brunson, Harden, Spida and Wemby in the playoffs. Here's how often they fell: https://t.co/0Vgr3ibDyP

[Ethical Hoops🏆 (only takes Ws) @EthicalHoopz]

Nikola Jokić has now placed in top 2 in the NBA MVP voting for 6 straight seasons, becoming the first player to do so in 40 years

Jokić joins Celtics greats Larry Bird (1981-86) and Bill Russell (1958-63) as the only players to accomplish the feat

[Barry @BarryOnHere]

Least valuable MVP winners since 1997 (based on team's Net Rating with player off court):

1) 2011 Rose (+6.1)
2) 2025 SGA (+5.7)
3) 2018 Harden (+5.2)
4) 2026 SGA (+4.2)
5) 2019 Giannis (+3.2)

Checks out.
