A population estimation study of leopards conducted at Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP) and Aarey Milk Colony last year by SGNP and the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) - India has identified 54 individual leopards-- one of the highest leopard densities recorded anywhere in the world.
The study revealed a thriving population of leopards in SGNP and its surrounding landscapes, showcasing a remarkable case of human-wildlife coexistence in a bustling urban setting.
According to the study, of the 54 individual leopards, there are 36 females, 16 males, and 2 whose sex could not be determined. The researchers also documented four leopard cubs, indicating successful breeding in the area.

@WeekendInvestng@nitin_gadkari Trees are missing, and they must have been growing on contract documents and being paid off for plantation and maintenance also. Who cares for lakhs of trees cut and wiped out of earth's face for the sake of so-called development !
I travelled about 400 km on Mumbai expressway last few days between Nuh and Dausa toll points
Must say @nitin_gadkari ji, I am disappointed and disheartened. This was supposed to be the model highway of the future
Some observations
1. Surface undulations no better than usual highways. Your water glass test will fail here.
2. Long queues at entry and exit at various points
3. Despite it being a new highway many places top layer already gone and repair work is being done
4. Access control is name sake. People jay waking across many places
5. Lane missing at many places likely where repair was done
6. No Toll patrol vehicle seen monitoring slow moving trucks in fastest lane - recipe for disaster and fatal accidents
While road is wide and well designed, the implementation is not world class at all. Some pics supporting abv points are enclosed.
Your promise of highways like America by 2025 look like an impossible dream as of now.
@chiefsanjay@TOI_Nagpur Quite rightly said, but very few have guts to be vocal against the power. Just try to oppose publically and those who are willing to support youalso do not dare to come out to physically support you and such movements. I think fear psychosis prevails and prevents internal voice .
@hridayeshjoshi@DeccanHerald Most of the cities do not have drainage map ! How can proper planning happen in absence of existing drainage systems maps ? The flooding cannot be envisaged or its remedies be planned without them ? Our politicians & Buerocrats are just not interested in developing proper tools .
@HansrajMeena Instead of politicizing the issue and beating around the bush and playing blame game, please arrange for related documents and approach NGT or MP High Courts. Thease politicians only listen to judiciary if they listen to anybody at all. That's what we do in Nagpur .
Crisis grips many more cities and still our pollution do not respect and belive the call against " Climate Change" ! They are only serious about their Votes and nothing else.
Any explanation by MPCB for waiting to take action till now when it was evident & proven in inspection in Jan about polution. Why did the villagers have to consume polluted water for so many days, and the polluter was not ordered to make available drinkable non poluted water
@AnshulT25600630@31_nagpur@vikas_gode@advidarbha@anjaya1905@ngp_pradeep What about education and brain drain from Nagpur ? Modernizing the Health infrastructure ? Improving the environment ? All the planned projects will involve lakhs of trees murder causing irreparable damages? Why only the last green spaces are targeted , suburbs are not developed
@AnshulT25600630@31_nagpur@vikas_gode@advidarbha@anjaya1905@ngp_pradeep He just boots for things he wants , does ever asks Nagpurians what they want ? Where are other planning depts responsible for holistic development, why lopsided developments alone without considering the needs and requirements actually required and wanted by citizens?
@vimalroyjalall@nitin_gadkari@narendramodi@PMOIndia@BJP4Maharashtra@BJP4India This false propaganda proves that the whole project is votecentric. It's in violation of Wetland Rules and Heritage Conservation Rules. Part of the project is on PDKV (Agriculture University ) land, which can not be used for any purpose other than Agriculture Education research.

Jai Shree Ram . Appears that Hanumanji of Telankhedi Tekdi Mandir Nagpur , had blessed and Nagpurians with a stay order just after the installation of Ramlala's New Murti in a new Temple , through Supreme Court instructing to not to fool with Nature.
