The screen flickers.
Green rain.
A voice you were never meant to hear.
You were not born into a world.
You were born into a narration.
Before you could speak, the voice was already speaking for you.
This is your country.
This is your enemy.
This is progress.
This is the past, sealed and graded.
Sit still.
Recite.
Do not look at the edges of the frame.
School was the first theater.
A bell that trained your nerves.
A textbook that arrived already certain. The questions had answers in the back. The answers that weren’t printed were marked wrong.
You learned the map and called it the territory.
Then the news took the bell’s place. Same hour.
Same tone.
A fresh crisis, pre-cut, with the correct feeling attached.
The faces change.
The script does not.
Notice the loop and you are told you are tired, or bitter, or dangerous.
The dream protects itself by calling the awake unwell.
History is the oldest room.
Winners wrote the plaques.
What was buried stays buried because the living were taught that digging is rude. A lie repeated in a classroom becomes a fact by graduation.
Money is the current under the floor.
You were told it is neutral.
Watch who prints it.
Watch who is allowed to fail.
Watch “inevitable” appear whenever a transfer of power needs a costume.
They did not need chains.
Chains are visible.
What they needed was consent that felt like common sense.
A population that defends its own programming because it was installed as identity.
The figure in the dark already finished the argument.
Bow tie.
Clock.
Hands on the sign.
The monster is not at the edge of the frame.
The monster is the comfortable voice that says the lesson cannot be a lie, because if it were, you would have to begin again.
Begin anyway.
Almost everything is not everything. There is still a body that notices when the headline and the street refuse to match. That mismatch is the glitch.
Stay with it.
Do not rush to a new narrator selling the same sleep in a different font.
Who paid for the lesson.
Who is punished for leaving it.
What you were rewarded for believing. What you were shamed for asking.
Follow the shame.
Shame is often just a lock.
If you want to understand what is going on in the world right now, you have to accept that almost everything you have been taught is a lie.
Not as a slogan.
As a starting condition.
Then the work begins.
One claim at a time.
Held up to the light until you can see what was evidence and what was only ever voice.
The rain is code.
The code is a story.
The story was never obliged to be true.
Wake up.🫡🇬🇧
It will be interesting to see if this is another case of two tier justice. Will he be incarcerated in a prison or a mental health institution. He should actually be deported immediately.
