Telling stories from philately

I love when countries celebrate the achievements for others like Togo did in this 1961 stamp for Alan Shepard. A little digging online reveals that they also made one for Yuri Gagarin. Hmmm...I think I'll be hitting eBay tonight! #philately #spacephilately

After a long break, I'm hoping to get back to some story telling. I've learned so much this week already! #philately

Prepping a consignment and came across this block of four. Couldn’t let it leave my desk for auction without a quick photo.

I meant to post this for Truth & Reconciliation Day but I lost track of time. Here's a quick sampling for some of the Indigenous themed stamps that Canada Post has released over the years. #philately #canadianphilately #treaty6territory

Time for a geography lesson. New post up on the blog about this last remnant of New France and it's part in the only guillotine execution to ever take place in North America!

✨May the Fourth be with you ✨

On May 25, 2007 the U.S. Postal Service issued a sheet of 15 stamps on a movie poster-like souvenir sheet to commemorate the blockbuster film, Star Wars.

It's crazy how many fabulous childhood memories hit me when I received this small piece of paper! #philately #girlguides #beprepared https://t.co/RzZJatIZ9G

Not sure about these claims. I would call an empty bank account a pretty serious side effect! 😂😂😂

[Niall Murphy @virtuafil]

This is fun😀
Have you taken your "phil pills" today?😁

[EUROPAStamps @EUROPAstamps]

Did you know two of the the 👻 #EUROPAStamps available @JerseyStamps have been printed using a type of ink that makes parts of them glow under ultraviolet light?
The artist the stamps is Jensine Eckwall.

[Small Pieces Of Paper @SPiecesOfPaper]

Cool!

I feel like Canada Post knew how desperately I needed some plants in my life when they popped this in my mailbox yesterday! #spop #philately #flowerphilately #canadapost

[Small Pieces Of Paper @SPiecesOfPaper]

Is there anything better than opening your mailbox to see two envelopes full of stamps?
