I am very excited to have tickets to go and see Onjali Q Rauf at Hay Festival at the end of May. Don’t forget, if you can’t make it to the Festival you can still access their resources and talks online. #HayFestival2022
Isn’t this a lovely idea. Though it is also lovely to be 10% kinder to everyone. Working in a school teaches new levels of compassion in general I think.
As a school, we regularly select a pupil who needs ‘10% kinder’ from all staff - everyone makes the extra effort to be positive and warm for a young person having a hard time - we have really embraced this as a team, and it can make a huge difference for a child in a tough week.
I believe that EVERY CHILD can be a reader. There is a book for everyone out there. Some kids haven't yet found that book; the one that starts them off, and lights the spark of #literacy. But once they do, they'll never stop - and it will change their lives forever.
Hello children’s book lovers. It’s the last Reading Matters - children’s book newsletter of this term.
Lots of great book related links and reviews. I hope it’s helpful and you have a relaxing break. Happy reading!
