And while abortion is legal if all the criteria under the Section 312 of the Penal Code are met, not all abortion methods are allowed. #MedicalAbortion using mifepristone and misoprostol is not allowed in Malaysia as both of the medications are not registered

The law pertaining to abortion in Malaysia is relatively liberal; it even allows for exceptions in the event where the pregnancy poses risk to the physical OR mental health of the pregnant person. Unfortunately due to taboo surrounding the topic not many people are aware of this
