I am grateful for Martin Tobin today. Watch his entire testimony to learn what happened to George Floyd in his last minutes of life. It is scientifically accurate while also exemplifying what it means to bear witness to another’s suffering.
“To most people this doesn’t look terribly significant but to a physiologist this is extraordinarily significant because this tells you that he has used up his resources and he’s literally trying to breath with his fingers and knuckles,” -Dr. Martin Tobin testimony. #DerekChauvin
It began with one dot. Then it grew to nearly half a million. A graphic on Sunday’s front page depicts the totality of Covid’s devastation in the U.S. https://t.co/iVn3JLOY2F
On a day for the history books, @TheAmandaGorman delivered a poem that more than met the moment. Young people like her are proof that "there is always light, if only we're brave enough to see it; if only we're brave enough to be it."
@maxwhattimeisit@612Gravy We’re literally looking anywhere a home may be semi-reasonably priced in the metro area. Obviously we’re planning on booking Allen to craft us a basement bar in 2025 when we actually find a house so hope he’s available 🤞
Thank you @RinataMpls and @lowryhillmeats for our delicious fresh pasta/bread and lamb tonight! Lamb ragu never tasted better! Cheers to you! Merry Christmas! 🎄
At Mia, we are dedicated to showing care for our community, just as our community shows care for us. Learn how to get involved, including supporting a mutual aid holiday drive by Community Aid Network MN Dec. 19 from 12-4pm at Mia's 3rd Ave entrance: https://t.co/gCKGLXCEBU
If you’re looking for a fun way to connect over the holidays — friends, family, coworkers, sworn enemies — I’m putting together custom trivia nights! Link in bio! ✏️✅
Last year on this day @612Gravy and I flipped and totaled a car in Chile thanks to a rouge airborne tree. No injuries. Great reminder to be thankful for your health. And first responders! #StayHomeForThanksgiving
Tough times with Covid make me so grateful for moments like this. Happy 5 years @612Gravy. Healthcare workers are struggling, help us take care of you. Stay home. Wear a mask 😷. We can celebrate again soon if we do the work needed now.
1500 Americans died yesterday of covid. Why are we allowing this to happen every day? Why are we allowing our healthcare and frontline workers to be abused in this way? When we are resistant to putting on mask, we must think of these heroes and protecting them. Please, be a hero.
And please don't let it slip by you that tonight the President of the Untied States refused to condemn white supremacy--not once, not twice but several times when given the opportunity while telling white supremacist groups to "stand down and stand by". #Debate2020
