Every Industrial Revolution has transformed our economic, social & political lives. Human relations are affected – no one is immune. The AI revolution is underway & can't be stopped. Hopefully, we'll harness it wisely.

Georgia is advancing the rights of persons with disabilities, moving away from the medical to a social model based on human rights and inclusion. This is a profound cultural shift and deserves support. 👇

Saddened and shocked by the untimely passing of Steve Estey, one of the giants of the international disability rights movement. A true gentleman, who played an outsized role during the drafting of the #CRPD.👇
He was a friend, mentor and guiding spirit. His passion about the situation of persons with disabilities in armed conflicts and in the aftermath was deeply appreciated. Of late he became especially interested in the plight of internally displaced persons with disabilities.👇
My new report offers recommendations for States, the UN system, OPDs & all stakeholders to play their part in building more resilient & inclusive peace processes.
My gratitude to those who made it possible, contributing time, experience & knowledge.🙏

Protection of adults is a seminal issue of our time. At its center are autonomy & personhood, which affect older persons & persons w/disabilities alike. The 2000 Hague convention should & can become compatible with #crpd. Our opinion👇
