Anxiety-ridden, procrastination is their life’s way
They all belong to humanity’s unenviable herd
Putting off tasks is their long inertial holiday

From God’s command “Let it be” million rivers flowed
Big Bang turned Air, into Water raining for billions of years
Countless stars and galaxies formed when a bit it slowed
The Universe expanded, and shaped into robotic spheres

B-A-N-I is Benediction for Awareness of Nature’s Injunctions
Because Nature as Cosmic Essence is God’s Manifest Might
It teaches the seeker to obey Hukm for all his mortal functions
To live fully, working and sharing everything in Divine Light

From Sound emerged the Universe and after inordinate wait
It put Man on the panoramic scene with a gift of speech
He made countless spoken and written words to write his fate
Language is thus his greatest invention with incredible outreach

N-A-A-M is Nature’s Activities Accommodated in Meditation
Along with electro-magnetic and other forces like gravitation
It’s HUKM that God turned into a mode of divine worship
No longer, “There is many a slip between the cup and the lip”

I stand convinced, not by belief but by lived understanding, that the universe is not indifferent, nor is humanity abandoned. What we lack is not intelligence but wholeness. Science has taught us how to master matter; Guru Nanak taught us how to master fear.
