There is no unified entity called 'Somaliland' that represents everyone in northern Somalia. Ignoring this reality risks more conflict, more displacement, and long-term instability in Somalia and the wider region.

Why Israel’s unilateral recognition is dangerous for northern Somalia:

1/ Israel illegally recognised break-away region “Somaliland,” but it’s not even clear what exactly was recognised.
In the former British Somaliland Protectorate, there are now 2 political entities, not one.
