Troy Thomas cared about me as a student in the 90’s (despite never playing football), he has taken my calls anytime I have called over the years, and he is highly principled. I am just one of 100’s that can testify to this. Wherever he lands is getting a hell of a leader of men.
The value of sports is that they BUILD your character. The reality is that they will also REVEAL your character. Nobody’ll remember how many points you scored, but they’ll remember how hard you worked/what kind of teammate you were. Like it or not, your character is your legacy!
PARENTS: When you blame other things (officials, coaches, conditions, circumstances, teammates) for the situation your son or daughter is in, then you're essentially teaching your child how to be an excuse maker.
