Thrilled to see the series @asianastroboy and I have been working on announced in @thebookseller! This has been a long time coming and we’re so grateful to @YA_Books for finding the Rani Reports series a wonderful home with @Rocktheboatnews! Get ready for lots of Mauritius facts!
Opening today! This exhibition by @UniofNewcastle, @7Stories and @ToonLibraries highlights black poets, writers, illustrators, publishers, and librarians who have pushed for the visibility of Black British children in children's books.

My tactile book is taking part in the Typhlo and Tactus International Competition of Tactile Illustrated Books over the next couple of days! I'm so pleased that @ClearVisionOrg put it forward through the UK's national selection process. Here's the book I created:
A fab story behind a fab story.
During the difficult times of Lockdown, my friends at @SSWAG_UK created a book where each of them contributed a chapter. With brilliant illustrations from John Storey they have produced something wonderful.

“Don’t write in rhyme!” said the guide books.
“Editors have had their fill of pirates!” said an agent.
Pirates vs. Monsters - a rhyming pirate story - won the Picture Book Award at the @BSCFestLit this week.
Here’s a thread on how it came about...
Along with @Sally_Nicholls, I think that there's a need and room for picture books WITH MORE TEXT. Styles go in and out of fashion and there used to be such books. Short- text and longer-text picture books could live happily alongside each other, fulfilling a need. Any thoughts?
