Before the battle of Badr, Muslim were begging to Allah for help, because they were outnumbered by Meccan Mushrik in terms of manpower, weapons, and food supply.
So Allah helped them by sending angels from sky.

اِذۡ تَسۡتَغِيۡثُوۡنَ رَبَّكُمۡ فَاسۡتَجَابَ لَـكُمۡ اَنِّىۡ مُمِدُّكُمۡ بِاَلۡفٍ مِّنَ الۡمَلٰۤـئِكَةِ مُرۡدِفِيۡنَ 
Surah Anfal:9 And recall when you implored your Lord for help and He responded to you: 'I will indeed reinforce you with a thousand angels, coming host after host.

But in the battle of Hunain, After the conquest of Mecca some Muslims had pride because Musim are more in numbers so they will win.

Hawazin Mushrik tribe made a counterattack, Muslims were caught off guard, and they suffered heavy casualties.
The Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) was nearly killed in the battle. He was hit by an arrow in the face, and he was temporarily blinded. However, he was able to rally the Muslims, and they eventually defeated the Hawazin.

The Battle of Hunayn was a reminder to the Muslims, they learned the importance of humility and obedience to Allah.

Allah reminds the Muslim that event in Surah Tawba: 25

لَقَدْ نَصَرَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ فِى مَوَاطِنَ كَثِيرَةٍۢ ۙ وَيَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ ۙ إِذْ أَعْجَبَتْكُمْ كَثْرَتُكُمْ فَلَمْ تُغْنِ عَنكُمْ شَيْـًۭٔا وَضَاقَتْ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْأَرْضُ بِمَا رَحُبَتْ ثُمَّ وَلَّيْتُم مُّدْبِرِينَ ٢٥

Indeed Allah has given you ˹believers˺ victory on many battlefields, even at the Battle of Ḥunain when you took pride in your great numbers, but they proved of no advantage to you. The earth, despite its vastness, seemed to close in on you, then you turned back in retreat.

Continue Verse 26:
Then Allah sent down His reassurance upon His Messenger and the believers, and sent down forces you could not see, and punished those who disbelieved. Such was the reward of the disbelievers.

Believers know the importance of humility and obedience to Allah and give credit to Allah for every victory.
