@ShutupCrissy Actually, it's not. Sorry. Something similar was first started in Asops fables. Benjamin Franklin made the statement famous, but it never appears in the Bible.
@ShutupCrissy While that phrase might have worked for the ancient Greeks and their pantheon of gods, the Bible expressly speaks the opposite. God helps those who clearly cannot help themselves.
