Given the sustained nature of the Covid incident I thought this thread was particularly relevant and insightful around our ability to maintain focus through a sustained event.
The 6 month mark in any sustained crisis is always difficult. We have all adjusted to this "new normal", but might now feel like we're running out of steam. Yet, at best, we are only 1/3 the way through this marathon. How can we keep going? THREAD /x
After one of the toughest weeks I can remember being in the ambulance service. Really enjoyed hearing the support of the public in West Yorkshire for the NHS echoing across the valley. #NHSclap
Darkest day of my ambulance career losing 2 colleagues over such a short period of time. Thank you for everything you’ve done guys, sleep well and rest in peace 😞
So proud of @YorksAmbulance colleagues in Bramley. @GreggsOfficial donated a lot of food to them so it wouldn't go to waste...
This wonderful lot decided it would be better going to a local charity supporting those who are homeless or unemployed
😊😊
This is our tree of life within the EOC. If you would like to send in something for our tree, maybe a positive message, a picture or card, it will keep us all in the control rooms going through this difficult time. I will also ensure 111 and our York control are included. TY x
