1️⃣ Large multicentre proteomic screening (PRECISESADS project) identified new lupus autoantibodies:
- IgG anti-LIN28A
- IgG anti-HMGN5
- IgG/IgA anti-IRF5
- IgG/IgA anti-TGIF1
2️⃣ These antibodies strongly correlated with high disease activity (SLEDAI ≥10) and were absent in remission/LLDAS states.
3️⃣ IgG anti-LIN28A positive in 🔹53% with CNS lupus and 🔹47% with renal lupus — outperforming anti-dsDNA (20%).
4️⃣ IgA profiling—a new frontier! Suggests mucosal immunity’s role in lupus pathogenesis.
5️⃣ IgA anti-FOSL2 linked uniquely to musculoskeletal disease — potential tissue-specific biomarker.
6️⃣ Autoantibody clusters showed links to DNA repair, RNA regulation, and neuronal pathways — highlighting multi-system mechanisms.
7️⃣ These novel markers may refine lupus stratification, predict flares, and aid in personalised immunotherapy.
