A happy bear is a healthy bear. Rano at Islamabad Wildlife Management Board Bear Rehabilitation Centre. Currently kept in quarantine before shifting to bigger enclosure. She will finally be taken to her natural habitat in Gilgit Baltistan.

This is a win for all Animal rights activists and journalists who have covered the suffering of Rano and raised their voice over the years. We are grateful to the Sindh High Court for their empathy, judicial wisdom and oversight which brought Rano's suffering at the Karachi Zoo to an end. Rano's case is not an isolated one.

Many animals have perished and continue to suffer at Karachi Zoo due to its inadequate facilities, apathetic and ill trained staff. Karachi Zoo was originally a botanical garden and that is the purpose it should serve as opposed to being a living hell for animals. For KMC the zoo is only a cash cow and they justify its existence as a cheap source of entertainment for Karachite. We need to educate our children about animals not reduce them and their misery and suffering as a source of entertainment.

Every day, people ask us: When will Imran Khan be released from jail?

The answer is simple….

Imran Khan will come out when the courts hear his cases and deliver justice.

But right now, justice is being denied. Judges are under immense pressure. Our lawyers are not even being given the chance to present their arguments in court. Dates are delayed. Hearings are blocked. This is not due process, it’s suppression.

On the other hand there are daily speculations in dozens of vlogs about secret visits, secret deals being offered, secret negotiations ,secret visitors in the middle of the night. Some blogs claim the visitors are from establishment and other times from overseas. When imran khan announces MASS MOVEMENT across Pakistan, dozens of bloggers are announcing the good news that Imran Khan will be released before Eid! And routinely, our brother has to publicly deny that he's cutting any kind of deal to secure his release.

How can Imran Khan receive a fair hearing when the courts won’t even let our lawyers speak & When justice is buried under fear & pressure?

Imran Khan has made only two demands:

1) Restoration of democracy
2) Rule of law

Nothing more. Nothing less.
Only for Pakistan. Always for Pakistan.

I’ve already said this before the Islamabad High Court…. sit across the table with the family and tell us your demands and we will convey them to our brother… Also tell us, Which of these two demands do you want Imran Khan to give up?
