@Rainmaker1973 Amazing, I was getting stressed just watching that process, he kept his head! Well spotted too, I doubt many people would have stopped and helped. Right place at the right time, good effort sir!
@elizax650@Elliedvce@itsmyliffe2004 It's not 46. It's 4.
The denominator is nested, so you do it in 2 stages, root of 81 is 9. The root of 9 is 3. The numerator is root of 144 (12) - so 12 divided by 3 is 4.
@WhiteHouse Stop attacking everyone then. NATO would defend you if you were attacked, BUT, not back you up like same brain-dead lackey standing behind the school bully.
@leedsbee@OctopusEnergy@g__j The UK market uses "marginal pricing." The most expensive fuel needed to meet demand sets the price for everyone.
Since gas is the last source switched on to fill the gap, it sets the price for wind and nuclear too. Gas costs = your costs.
@Carsofglasgow1 You've bought the wrong car for the job. For the large majority of people, EVs make perfect sense. Buying the wrong vehicle because you're too daft is a "you" problem. Most drivers charge at home for 6p/kWh. A single ridiculous example of stupidity doesn't mean EVs are bad
@fesshole Feels like the spirit of @fesshole is lost. Posts are just weird brags or observations, not a fess.
I miss the real stuff:"I make a huge fuss about bringing reusable bags to the shops, but I regularly throw away perfectly good Tupperware because I can't be bothered to clean them"
@xirfan@g__j@JBDT60@OctopusEnergy The result is random, but the wheel is not a pie chart of the actual odds. If they sized the slices based on the actual odds of winning, the jackpot sections would be microscopic and impossible to see on your screen. The graphic is just a fun way to reveal the result.
