@Caecilius_CLC@CamEdFac@CamClassics@classarch @SWclassicshub We love using this resource! Our entire second year course is based on the War with Troy and the Return from Troy with some Latin and Greek thrown in for enrichment. Pupils and staff get great enjoyment out of using the resources and the stories leave a lasting impression.
Latin and Classical Studies generally elicit an enthusiastic response among pupils offered the chance to learn them. Both should be more widely available to state school pupils in Scotland, and a PGDE revived.
This is a social #equity issue as much as a purely educational one.
S1 Latin review Stage 4 vocabulary from @Caecilius_CLC. We decided to change it up a bit from the usual written test and play a game of 'Roman Battleships!'.
Learning about the Athenian oikos (house) this morning with the S4 National 5 Classical Studies class. Any excuse to get the Lego out (which will now go into isolation for a few day but definitely worth it!).
@DrArleneHH@ClassCivAncHist@edithmayhall@ocrexams@sqanews materials showing a range of different interpretations about aspects of the R&B courses (Greece and Rome). E.g. different attuides towards mystery religions with sources as evidence. I know its difficult to find a range of source for the Greek topics for Religion and Belief.
