Today is World Delirium Awareness Day! Family members play a key role in delirium care. Advocating for regular orientation, mobility, and non-drug interventions can help reduce delirium risk. #WDAD#delirium#A2F@WesElyMD@DrJimJackson@ICUsteps@Walk4Pics

Look out for posters and leaflets around the trust with a QR code on with a link to a questionnaire for nursing/medical/ AHP colleagues to complete. Please take a few mins to complete to let us know how we can help you as a service to manage deteriorating patients

Being a patient in the ICU was the most miserable and terrifying experience of my life.
Below, are my responses to similar questions when I was unable to communicate verbally, displaying my paranoia, that were saved and incorporated in my #ICUdiary.
Fantastic time at the BACCN conference, Aberdeen. Great presentation by Chris Gillies from the digital team and proud to be part of the PNA team presenting our ‘Vision to Reality’ of the PNA role. Inspiring and thought provoking presentations from the Critical Care community.
I’m so very proud of this amazing event❤️❤️ A huge thank you to every single person that played a part in bringing this together. Without your participation this wouldn’t have been such a success 🙌 #criticalcarenursing#BACCNConf2024
The Critical Care Outreach team would like to send a shout out to SN Carole Johnson, Craig Whyles and Sister Janine Mayland for their prompt recognition and escalation of a deteriorating patient. Well Done!! You all really made a difference to that patient!
Well done @UHNM_NHS Critical Care Outreach Team on your fantastic poster capturing the journey and development of your Outreach services. We know all too well the difficulty measuring the impact of CCOT - you have smashed it! 🙌@NOrF_CCO_RRS @BACCNUK@jillbogucki#BACCNCon2024
Day 2 @HSJptsafety conference. Very interesting and thought-provoking lectures and conversations going on around recognising the complexities of managing the deteriorating patients in complex health care settings.
Kicking off #HSJpatientsafety Day 2 with a keynote session delivered by @VincentCharlesA & Rene Amalberti.
A great opportunity to learn practical safety strategies for today & tomorrow, as they explore the most prominent & effective interventions to improve #patientsafety
