@MrEvgraf@DaisyMayNot7@0xRuzy I do as my grandfather was one and was able to save and buy a house before becoming a manager in the 80s. All im saying is jobs we consider today “dead end” you could actually live off years ago.
@VezoVezir@DaisyMayNot7@0xRuzy I meant more the 80s/90s but even back in 00 my mom was a bank teller and she could afford to maintain a house with 4 kids by herself no government help. Sure she couldn’t buy us the newest thing to come out but bills were paid on time.
@MVJUDGE99 When George owned the team although he was the richest the gap wasn’t as big as it is today so you could make the arguement owners need to spend more today you can’t.
@MVJUDGE99 In today’s world where private equity firms are buying teams no most owners can’t compete. Hal Steinbrenner doesn’t have the same access to money that the Guggenheim group have even though he runs the most popular franchise in the sport now imagine how small markets feel.
@brenlenden@KwanDislike@realGB94@skraxxy Teams don’t open there books to the public but the PAs office has all the financials they know how much teams NET vs Profit.
@MikeDro_ To me it’s more of a what if feeling than any hate. I’m sure he really wanted to stay but I don’t know how many ppl on earth can turn down 70 million a year. It is what it is at this point.
@KnockahomaNTN Umpire here it was a bad call he probably saw it at the knees assumed it would stay on plane and instinctively made the call. Theres a reason why mentors preach to let the cacther get the ball before making the call so this doesn’t happen.
@JoezMcfLy Some yankee fans hate to admit it but dam i miss Soto. Don’t get it twisted Judge is my favorite player but that duo was just a perfect mix of the old yankee way with some sazón.
