I asked Sam Presti about the physicality of the playoffs, specifically the West Finals. I mentioned the Plumlee hit on McCain and Carter Bryant fouls on SGA.
"You didn't hear us complaining. We're not complaining. We just want to know what the rules are. And we'll play by them."
Sam Presti on SGA bucking what NBA fans say they hate: He plays both ends of the floor, never complains and moans “he has three technical fouls, none for complaining he got one for waving a towel in support of a teammate” said he “plays every night so you can’t get him on that” and the next one is he has brought the mid range back to an art form so he isn’t a guy that is just launching 3s. Then the other one is these guys are totally inaccessible, well the guy signs 400 autographs before every game. Based on those narratives, he would be doing them right. So if we are just talking about trying to draw fouls, well every other great player tries to draw fouls. And only 2.5% of those fouls were challenged. 4 of them were overturned.
Sam Presti: “At no time did anyone discredit their opponent. Discredit their opponent's success or talent, make excuses about officiating or the rules or take a glass-half-empty outward.”
James Dolan invited his friend Donald Trump to watch Game 3. In order to do that, they have to ban the organic, historically joyous parties happening outside MSG for fans who can't afford to be inside. Modern sports in a nutshell
Positive weekend for Oscar Wembanyama at adidas EuroCamp, showing two-way versatility and improving skill and feel.
The 19-year-old French wing measured 6-foot-7¼ barefoot, 192 pounds with a 6-foot-11¼ wingspan.
Has made a big jump in ability the past 12-18 months.
Well on the bright side, the Spurs aren’t even supposed to be in this position, it took alot of luck for them to be in the Finals and honestly it’s showing how big of a difference a healthy team vs. a unhealthy team looks versus them
Sam Presti last September: "The second apron has become so ingrained in our NBA vocabulary so quickly. But there's nothing relative to the second apron that would prohibit us from keeping anyone on our team."

@iheartjwill From STL, MO, never had an NBA team to root for. I was a big Kobe fan but hated the Lakers. I loved KD & Russ as players but it was that 2010 playoff series that made me fall in love with the Thunder. The fans were passionate & the players were fearless. Been die hard ever since
He’s probably the only one allowed to say this. He was pretty flawless all series and always shut down their guards and stepped it up on offense. No notes for Cason going into the summer.
thing with Chet is that a ton of his skills and flaws contradict each other. he’s an elite roller that isn’t a good screener, a great rim protector that is a mediocre rebounder, a stretch with a slow and low release point. trying too hard to be versatile
It was always going to be tough for the Thunder to win this series without both Jalen Williams and Ajay Mitchell. Thunder put up a great fight without their 2nd and 4th best players.
Credit the Spurs. That is a really tough team.
