Our goal is to enable student creativity, collaboration and problem solving by providing the tools and skills necessary for learning in the 21st Century.
Grateful to be inspired by today’s call to action for World Cleanup Day & committed to leaving our water and community’s better than we found them! @cgeducation@UNESCO
“Students at St. Malachy’s are taking action for our rivers and coasts. Cleanups with former AP Nature students inspire current & future AP Nature Students. Today we cleaned Wolastoq, a brook & sidewalks @Cgeducation_ #MutiraoCOP30#Decarbonize#COP30#APNature#ClimateAction”
James, a current STM AP Nature student says “My sister and I decided to go to a nearby brooke beside our house and fill a garbage bag of trash for the cleanup” & many students noticed plastic as major problem.
Preparing for International Day of Social Justice, we celebrate local, national & international social justice advocates (SDG 10 Reducing Inequalities). We sample African cuisine learning new ingredients & recipes, hear Nigerian poets & see Hidden History! @cgeducation@LSF_LST
Congratulations to Connie Shea @STM_Super_Saint, who was awarded the 2024 Governor General's History Award for Excellence in Teaching. This prize recognizes professionals in Canada who share a vision and passion for history and inspiring their learners. 🇨🇦 👏
Saints begin land-based learning with Elders Charlie and Rhonda hearing about the importance of sweet grass & braiding it together. Thankful to ASDS for making this important learning opportunity happen & for supporting our Truth & Reconciliation journey!
#APNatureEd Seminar students prove that youth care and have deep curiosity about important local issues. After exploring uptown, Saints wonder about harbour pollution, green spaces & transportation, sustainable housing.. Looking forward to seeing what solutions they investigate!
Happy for Saints to experience another year of #APNatureEd in Seminar. Being in nature helps us learn to love it, protect it, and advocate for it! @CollegeBoard@cgeducation
Truth and Reconciliation Week provides an opportunity for increased education and awareness about the history and impacts of #ResidentialInstitutions. By educating ourselves and others, we can foster empathy, understanding, and solidarity. 1/2
