@itaintwhywhywhy@sarajcox Omg I’ve never seen this! 😂 I was picturing her being stalked by a load of little people trying to bite her knees, while also thinking she was mental and very inappropriate 🫣 ( she was actually lovely)
@JimGael5 See that’s the thing - we *are* served by public transport and I’m happy to use it, but as described here, what’s supposed to be in place isn’t working. While we do share a car, there are plenty of people who do not have an alternative option.
📖 A tale about public transport with a baby in Cork.
Today I wanted to attend a baby yoga class 7 km from my house, or a 10minute drive.
There’s no direct bus from Glanmire to Glounthaune, and baba is still too small for the bike, so I’ll get the 214 bus & the commuter train
@AracerRacer I have my eye on a Hauck trailer to use as soon as he is 6 months. It will do fine for local trips at least although I wouldn’t cycle into the city with that setup, unfortunately.
@JohnnyNoCash1 Quite the contrary. I specifically chose to live in an area in cycling distance to the city, close to rail, and serviced by busses. As per schedule there’s a bus every 20 mins. Except that’s not what’s happening on the ground.
@veronm78 I hear you. We’re a 4 person family, both work in the city, and have given up trying to get it home from work as it’s so unreliable so I mostly cycle now or carpool. The 8am departure from Glanmire also seems to no longer exist
