🎰 Maryland Lottery and Gaming says it contributed $1.637 BILLION to the state in fiscal 2026.

That’s a staggering amount of money flowing from lottery tickets, casinos, sports wagering and related gaming into Maryland’s coffers.

With Maryland constantly debating taxes, fees and budget shortfalls, taxpayers should be asking a simple question:

Where is all that money going — and why does Annapolis always seem to need more?

Breaking: Microsoft confirms the Windows 11 October 2025 mandatory security update accidentally breaks some localhost connections, which can prevent users from debugging or testing apps, websites, and tools locally.

Microsoft stated that it's rolling out an emergency patch that rolls back the faulty code.

While Microsoft has only acknowledged one issue, we're seeing reports of other problems:

- A bug that blocks installation of the mandatory security update due to different Windows Update errors.
- If the patch does install, it can prevent the Preview pane in File Explorer from working. you'll see a false security alert when you try to view documents, such as a PDF.

These issues affect Windows 11 25H2, Windows 11 24H2, but Windows 10 is not affected.

Maryland Boating Title and Registration Fees will increase October 1. The DNR says the state legislature approved the increase earlier this year.

Boat registration fees will nearly TRIPLE from $24 to $70 every two years.

Add that to the list. All this happened to Maryland residents just in 2025.
