@afidelf Two dysfunctional cricket boards that kowtow to their respective political masters. A charged up political atmosphere, meaningless political gestures.
@yarotrof Yes, the video from the crash site shows lots of puncture holes on the part of the aircraft that is intact, characteristics of lots of shrapnel going in.
@Ru173418052@RW_SRILANKA@anuradisanayake So your leader is in Inda. How many Indian political leaders he met there? This great leader with so many international connections.
@UNPunOfficial First, it was 71, then it was 88/89, then it was IMF, then it was no experience, but nothing took traction, so now it is an ABBA Tribute concert. In the meantime, you guys cannot even name your National Lists. It's ridiculous and pathetic.
@Dailymirror_SL Given what is happening in American courts and in India, maybe the new govt should take a look at the details behind your deal with Adani Green. @RW_SRILANKA
@chickenman1999 @Maaahhie It seems that a set of people need to be reminded of their civic responsibilities by force. One has to understand that while the two elections were profound for the country, most people will not change that fast. The new govt has to win them over, one voter at a time.
@chickenman1999 @Maaahhie The problem is that this was not a commercial decision based on an open tender process. SL govt gave Adani Green the project on Modi's wishes. That came out in a parliamentary committee and the guy who said it had to come out later and say that he was confused.
@chickenman1999 @Maaahhie I am not an expert on this and really don't know what the numbers are for Sri Lanka, but what I have heard is that at USD 8 cents a kw, they were way beyond the cost. It's the same story in India. They paid bribes to Indian state officials to agree to pay high prices.
@rangaba@murtazajaff@anuradisanayake@gautam_adani The US indictment says Adani Green gave or tried to give Indian officials 260 million dollars in bribes to get them to agree to buy power from Adani Green at elevated prices. The current AKD govt really should look into this deal that Ranil signed.
@chickenman1999 @Maaahhie It will, if it turns out Adain Green got the Sri Lankan project through underhanded activities. As it was, many questioned why SL agreed to buy the Adani generated power at very high prices. This was highlighted by NPP before the election but no one including me believed them.
@Thanushka02@Whisperer2024 So why then is the UNP leader the most amoral SOB that one came across, and who thinks that there is no one as smart as he is? Humble?
