Convened a high-level meeting with @NagalandCS, @DGP_Nagaland, and other senior officials to strengthen vigilance mechanisms along the Assam-Nagaland border. The State Govt. is actively engaging with all stakeholders to prevent illegal infiltration.

Addressed the Chümoukedima DPDB meeting presided over by the Chairman , Shri Zhaleo Rio, MLA & Advisor, which was attended by the DC, District Administration officials, District HoDs, councillors and concerned stakeholders. Deliberated on various developmental policies, schemes and a host of issues such as setting up new offices of relevant departments, monsoon preparedness vis-à-vis
drainage maintenance/clearance/encroachment and building bye-laws among many others which will boost the 'Ease of Living' in the district. Since its inception, Chümoukedima has been growing by leaps and bounds but there's an urgent and growing need for a more holistic approach so as to make sure that development trickles down to the last citizen and it turns into a truly progressive district as originally intended.

Inspected the ongoing landslide restoration work along NH-2 between Kohima and Mao Gate, as well as the alternate route via the ODR (Other District Road) from Zero Point, Kezoma Urban Station to Kidima village. The visit was conducted along with engineers from the Roads & Bridges wing of NPWD and my team.

Encouraged by the dedicated efforts of the contractors and engineers who are working round the clock to restore this vital route, which serves as a lifeline to the state of Manipur.

I urge all involved to remain committed and continue working with urgency to restore normalcy at the earliest.

An honor to address the 15th edition of the Naga Wrestling Association (NWA) Open Naga Wrestling Championship, at Kohima. The NWA has been tirelessly promoting this indigenous Naga sport among all tribes as a result of which 10 tribes have already established their respective wrestling associations. With more in the offing, it's only a matter of time before all tribes embrace this sport which will ultimately serve as a unifier and as a basis of a common Naga identity. Today is also historic for the fact that we're witnessing the introduction of the 1st Women's Open Naga Wrestling Championship and implementation of the point system. A red-letter day indeed.

As we make headway towards the professional path, I'm hopeful that Naga Wrestling will witness even more glorious days in the near future with national and international recognition. I congratulate the NWA for this spectacular event and pray that your noble deeds of promoting the spirit of brotherhood and unity do not go unnoticed.
