This #BiologyWeek we have been sharing the diverse careers in our Applied Biology community 🌱
🔬 Today join Dr Jason Banda, a plant scientist @UoNBiosciences, as he takes us through a day in the lab exploring how plants sense & respond to stress.
#IAmABiologist#plantscience
Our paper is out 🥳 We've spatially mapped the SUMO system in plant roots by making 32 fluorescent reporters. These reporters show the amazing variability in expression and localisation of the SUMO components and how these change in response to stress. DOI: 10.1126/sciadv.adw9153
Join Professor Sadanandom @DurBiol for a global conference on the @SUMO_code on 3-4 July. The team are looking at how SUMOylation controls environmental stress responses in plants.
Project funded by £4.4 million @BBSRC grant.

Our new LOPIT spatial proteomics paper now out, clearly showing changes in protein abundance is only a partial story. Some proteins relocalise with no change in the steady state abundance https://t.co/hChEkfdULI Wonderful collaboration between @smithlab_ucl and @CamCProteomics
