These teachers are spending a Friday morning taking a deep dive into our pilot middle school math resource, enVision Math 6-8. We have 32 @SVVSD teachers getting ready to take middle school math by #StVrainStorm next year with a robust suite of teaching & learning resources!
Students can earn thousands of dollars in college credit and gain invaluable experiences deeply investigating complex content through @svvsd’s AP program. They are 1 of many vital portals that help students make college and/or successful career transitions more accessible.

APUSH Ss just did their end of the week retrieval charts. The last column was reserved for S1 content. We shared out and the depth of what they remembered, some from as far back as the SECOND day of school! I don't know who was more excited, the Ss or me!! #fredericklearns
Incredible @VrainWaves E52 about the importance of intentional language with our students with @balancedteacher. Eyeopeners about how the language we use with students frames how they see themselves as learners and shapes how they navigate school. So good! @BeckyEPeters@mrkalb
@SVVSDMath @TMBP8_Principal This morning in g7 ela class I was coteaching, we had students develop qualities and features a good answer could and/or should have and then compared to their peers’ anonymized responses. This would be a cool next step.
These Timberline PK-8 middle school math teachers are collaboratively evaluating student work using a rubric and having great scoring conversations about what a complete response should contain. @TMBP8_Principal
@SVVSDMath I love the examples that evaluate an incorrect answer and /or utilize non examples. Such an outstanding life skill - to identify logical missteps & where/ when. And to evaluate thinking and processes. Qualifying what makes a it a Non-example can add cogn. engagement / complexity

SVVSD CLD Master's cohort scholars presented on research and demonstrated strategies for elevating language and discussion in the classroom. So many great ideas. These teachers rocked it! @SunsetMiddle@SHS_Principal@PeaksMoose
