Latest drought monitor continues to show some improvement across the state, as rainy season kicks into gear. It's modest, but it's an improvement nevertheless. #FLwx#drought
@rushtropicalwx Well I mean if there is a plus side to the heat, it is that it lowers the traffic levels.
I was stuck in so many traffic jams at the beginning of this year!
There is an increased risk of extreme heat across much of Florida, including Miami, next week and into next weekend tied to mid-level high pressure. Heat index values may exceed 105 deg F. Little overnight relief expected with record high minimum temperatures possible.
@CharlieArth2012@JJCooperWX There was a 123mph wind gust in South TX a few months ago, as far as I know that has been the highest TSTM wind gust this year.
It's rare we see them get that strong.
@PDemon1140@NbergWX We literally just had a 300ft rocket explode and I didn't hear or see anything in Naples.
What makes you think you'd be able to feel something at most similar from farther away?
There isn't really any logic here besides pure unfounded skepticism, which is just not productive.
@wxbrad I can see a little hole over my zipcode, I wonder if that's because we don't have a seismograph within it, no one reported anything, or just nothing happened.
I didn't feel anything.
@JackPowell21983@Cbutt52@SuleimanToyeeb@TouchlineX Humid days?
There's literally no comparison between Florida and U.K. humidity.
Summer humidity in FL, especially the southern part of the state is more like somewhere like Taiwan, the Congo or Vietnam.
Tampa vs. London for example
@foxweather@RobertRayWx With disasters like this it can be hard to see the other side, but it seems as though the people there are persisting despite insurmountable adversity brought about by Hurricane Melissa.
We love to see this!
@Aaronsworld411@tropicalupdate It's a real issue.
I wish more people in the community would post realistically instead of trying to 'doompost' about some cat 5 destroying Miami for a quick buck.
