On Thursday the 4th, we'll be out and about on the A406 Bridge Beds between 10am and 12 noon. Come and help with the weeding if you can! And on Monday we'll be at the Repair Café at the Memorial Hall, 10.30am-1.30pm. Why not stop by and say hullo.
Our beds are in a sorry state. We've spent the last couple of months trundling about with watering cans - to no avail. But here's a pic to cheer us up. We'll be on the Bridge Beds this morning at 10am. Stop by and say hullo!
We’ve been beavering away on the #SouthWoodford Bridge beds which have looked pretty spiffing in the sunshine. Tomorrow (Friday 1st, 10am) we'll be having a go at the George Lane beds. We may have to layer up!
That’s a wrap for 2021. Thanks to everyone who gave us plants, cuttings, bought us coffees, chocolate biscuits, or just stopped by to say hullo. We’re very grateful. Still lots to do, so here’s to 2022. Happy Christmas everyone!
We'll be gardening tomorrow (Thursday 28th) planting bulbs and busying ourselves generally around the A406 Bridge beds plus Regency Court beds. Join us if you can, or just stop by and say hullo.
One minute the sunflower was in it’s full glory, next day it was flattened. Squirrels? Hooligans? Who knows. But we’ve regrouped and will be on the A406 Bridge Beds #SouthWoodford tomorrow (Friday) at 10am. Come along if you can!
The Regency Beds #SouthWoodford have taken a bit of a battering due to the road works, but the contractors, Siemens, have promised to make good the damage. In the meantime, this made us smile - we've no idea who planted it!
At last the grass in George Lane has been cut. If you have a springey rake, please help, any time at all, to rake out the grass seeds from the flower beds in George Lane - left by the mowers cutting the grass. Grrrrrr!
We'll be working on the Bridge Beds tomorrow (Thursday) between 10am and 12. We're a little depleted in numbers due to holidays, so please come along and help if you can #southwoodford
The Gardeners were out and about yesterday. Lots of lovely comments. One lady stopped with her little daughter and said that every time she passed 'our' flowerbeds she felt 'at peace'. We couldn't ask for anything more. #SouthWoodford
We’ll be meeting on the A406 Bridge Beds tomorrow morning (Thursday) at 10am. We have some topsoil to dig into the Regency Court beds. May have to bring a pick axe to break up existing soil, some of which is like concrete. Strong armed people required!
We’ll be in George Lane tomorrow between 11am and noon doing a spot of weeding. If you’re going to the #SouthWoodford Sunday Market please stop by and say hullo. #shoplocal
