A reason for enthusiasm about Coe is that he gets it: not just at a policy level, but also in terms of the poor quality of argument that supported male bodies in female sport. Here's that quote:
He can stop being so testerical, he can play in the men’s, where he belongs
And since when is playing sport in the category of your own choosing a “right”?
For this reason alone, never mind all his other world-class credentials on and off the track, @sebcoe is obviously the stand-out candidate to be the new IOC president and should win tomorrow’s vote.
My best wishes to Sebastian Coe @sebcoe in the IOC Presidential election. Someone must stop this cheating man from punching women in 2028.

Best wishes to @worldathletics President @sebcoe on his quest to become @Olympics President next week. Seb’s vision of Sport First, Tomorrow’s Generation, Athletes at the Heart, Growth and Empowerment is what is needed for the future of the Olympic movement.
As the final days of the election are upon us, I wanted to share with you all the 5 key pillars of my manifesto that I feel makes me the strongest candidate for the role of President of the IOC.
These have been developed not only from my views and passions, but also from all the many conversations I have been having with members to get their input and ideas also.
My manifesto is all about the Olympic and Paralympic Games being the greatest STAGE on earth, and in that theme - has 5 core pillars.
→ Sport First: Prioritise excellence, protect women’s sports, anti-doping, fairness
→ Tomorrow’s Generation: Inspiring youth, sustainability commitments, embracing technology
→ Athletes at the Heart: Welfare, commercial recognition, governance involvement, experience
→ Growth: New revenue models, smart partnerships, our brand equity
→ Empowerment: Of all IOC members, athletes, NOC’s, IF’s and partners
Starting today, and over the next 2 days I will share with you my thoughts on each one and why I think they are vital for the future of our movement. Firstly I want to share my experience as an athlete in the Movement and why it shapes my manifesto today.
‘The integrity of sport comes first – we must protect the female category.’
Writing exclusively for Telegraph Sport, @sebcoe, proven defender of fair sport for women, lays out his credentials to become International Olympic Committee president this week https://t.co/9FNkpHyzUj
So the @FA has been shortlisted for the Equality Diversity & Inclusion Award at the Women's Football Awards.
What for?
Including males in women's football?
Reminder:
A diversity of women in football does not mean including males in female categories.
Sort it out.
Three year anniversary to the day that I sat beside @ThePosieParker and filmed this… “Cheat!”

Not so lucky for women like @Riley_Gaines_ .
But, yes, it kicked off advocacy for women’s sports to the next level.
