In 2023, the Bangweulu Shoebill Nest Protection Programme educated over 1,500 people and involved 26 community members in guarding 13 shoebill nests, leading to the rescue and rehabilitation of 12 shoebill chicks over the past two years. Hidden camera traps in Mondo Missa have captured rare footage of a new chimpanzee group in Garamba! With limited info on these chimps, this footage offers insights into their whereabouts and group sizes, helping African Parks rangers track, monitor, and protect them better.
