Something I should have thought about in last night's article: why IS Scooby a puppy? That usually only happens when the gang are kids (Scoob, Pup Named Scooby-Doo). When they're teens, Scooby's a similarly aged dog. No, I don't care about "dog years" because the show never did.
Reposting from a couple weeks ago, and apparently relevant thanks to current news.

How to fix Doctor Who.
Wipe out everything post Peter Capaldi. Most importantly the horrific Timeless Children.
The Dream Lord and The Valeyard are behind the non-events of the 13th, 14th, 15th, and stupid Fugitive Doctor.
Better yet, just never mention them.
Cast Hugh Laurie as the Doctor with a smoking hot actual female companion.
You're welcome.
@Nathaniel_Lyon4@Variety I DID look it up and the nose still looks too short. The ears I was wrong on, but it still doesn't look like a great dane to me. Maybe I am wrong, but it doesn't look like Scooby to me.
@Nathaniel_Lyon4@Variety I'm still not convinced it's a great dane puppy (could be wrong but it still doesn't look right to me), and doing poorly isn't the same as being a bad or unnecessary idea for something created with animation in mind. We'll have to agree to disagree or waste both our times.
@Nathaniel_Lyon4@Variety Ok, I looked up great dane puppy on Google Image Search. Didn't know the ears were that long on a pup but the nose is still too short. It still looks like they were going for "cute" more than "Scooby". Still don't need live-action Scooby-Doo.
@LunarArchivist@yunayuna998877 Do we know for sure she's safe? Or real? My Facebook reels lately are flooded with "dating" profiles, some of which I swear looks AI, and clips from Girl Meets World. Also some Transformers and GoBot stuff but mostly those two.
You have not been paying attention if you think people stopped making fun "nerds and obsessive fans", especially the ones that aren't conventionally attractive. Geeks just have way more platforms now thanks to social media, so it's a lot easier to see their perspectives as well as those that agree with them.
Literally every demographic has its crazies. Associating a specific group with theirs should only happen if the group itself is largely accepting of those types of people.
I do agree that geekdom becoming cool made certain things worse, but that's largely because larpers, grifters and tourists entered the picture. As for the rise of parasocial behavior, that's more of a result of social media creating a new brand of celebrity.
