YOU CAN’T BE A HACKER
You need to learn to think like one.
Normalize the habit of BREAKING THE SYSTEM, THEN FIX IT!
Here's how:
To understand better pls give me 1 minutes to walk you through some real-life examples illustrating hacker mindset techniques:
1. Curiosity and Continuous Learning:
- Do you know Linus Torvalds Created LINUX because he wanted to learn more about operating systems. His curiosity led to one of the most significant open-source projects ever.
2. Problem-Solving Creativity:
- The Hackers at DEF CON: Participants often showcase unconventional solutions to security challenges, like using a light sensor to read keystrokes off a keyboard's LEDs, demonstrating creative problem-solving in security contexts.
3. Attention to Detail:
- The Heartbleed Bug: Discovered by Neel Mehta from Google's security team, this bug in OpenSSL was missed by many due to its subtlety. His attention to detail allowed for its discovery and subsequent patching.
4. Persistence:
- Kevin Mitnick: Known for his persistence in hacking into systems, including major corporations, which led to his infamous run from the law. His later redemption as a security consultant shows how persistence can be channeled into positive outcomes.
5. Systems Thinking:
- Stuxnet Worm: Allegedly developed by the US and Israel, this worm targeted specific industrial control systems with a deep understanding of how these systems work together, impacting Iran's nuclear program.
6. Risk Assessment:
- Tsutomu Shimomura: Hacked back against Kevin Mitnick, demonstrating a calculated approach to risk, which ultimately led to Mitnick's capture.
7. Ethical Consideration:
- Charlie Miller & Chris Valasek: Famous for ethical hacking by demonstrating car hacking capabilities, leading to significant improvements in automotive cybersecurity.
8. Adaptability:
- Phineas Fisher: Known for hacking Hacking Team, a controversial surveillance tech company. Fisher adapted to the ever-changing landscape of security measures to expose vulnerabilities.
9. Networking and Social Engineering:
- Kevin Mitnick again, whose early exploits heavily relied on social engineering, like calling tech support to get system information or passwords.
10. Documentation and Sharing Knowledge:
- Eric S. Raymond's "The Cathedral and the Bazaar": This essay shared insights on software development that influenced the open-source movement, showing how documenting and sharing knowledge can reshape industries.
11. Mastery of Tools:
- The Shadow Brokers: This group released NSA hacking tools, showing a deep understanding of sophisticated cyber weapons which they then shared with the world, impacting cybersecurity practices globally.
12. Reverse Engineering:
- Michael Steil: Reverse-engineered the Commodore 64's ROM, leading to the creation of the VICE (Versatile Commodore Emulator), showcasing how understanding legacy systems can lead to new software development.
Let's normalize breaking to rebuild. The hacker mindset isn't just about tech; it's about innovation and security!

Dear 2024 Me,
It’s the 30th of December, and I just want to take a moment to acknowledge the journey you've been on. I know it took more than six months, and that’s completely okay life is truly a continuous process. However, I truly appreciate you keeping your promise. It means so much to me, and I'm really proud of you for it.
The year started messy, ambitions orbiting in my head but no clear path to follow. For the first three months, I felt lost, unsure of where life was heading. I had dreams, yes, but no structure. Then, something changed. I picked up a journal and began writing.
It wasn’t just writing it was me pouring out my fears, my hopes, my wildest ambitions. Day by day, I felt a shift. By April, I made myself a promise: “No matter what happens, you’re going to make yourself proud.”
Slowly but surely, things began to fall into place. I found clarity where there was once confusion. I began taking small, intentional steps and by mid-year, 80% of my goals were no longer just dreams; they were reality.
One of the most beautiful parts of this year was my growth in faith. I mastered all the Tajweed rules and started applying them in my recitations. That connection with my Creator brought a kind of peace I’d never experienced before.
And then, there was cybersecurity a field I knew absolutely nothing about at the start of the year. Just four months into learning, I had a conversation about cybersecurity with the Head of the Tech Department at the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development. That conversation landed me a part-time lecturing offer in their tech department.
It didn’t stop there. This year, I got to meet and work with some of the most brilliant minds and tech gurus people who challenged me and helped me grow even more.
But 2024 wasn’t just about tech. I also won a significant court case and several others with the law firm I worked for. I worked with clients on real estate transactions, and, by Allah’s grace, I secured my first landed property.
Even though I didn’t have much time to advertise my beauty business as a makeup, henna, and hair artist, my loyal customers stayed by my side. They referred new clients to me, helping me earn more income. Maybe I’ve shared this before or maybe I haven’t but I made my first million as an artist and still do. No matter how far I climb the ladder of success, I will never take my handwork for granted.
Journaling my gratitude daily helped me live a healthier life, especially when depression tried to take the best of me. God bless the day I realized that counting my blessings in every situation is everything.
Those are some of my good days. But mind you, I had very ugly days too especially the silent battles that nearly broke me. There were moments I thought I could lose myself entirely. But here I am, standing tall a gratitude survivor.
Cheers to many more wins 🏆.

11. Its my birthday today. Repost to show love🙈🎂🎉🎆
My husband has a peculiar habit of ringing the doorbell instead of using his keys to enter the house, even when he has them with him. I have been opening the door for him for years now, and i always wonder why he doesn’t use his key instead.
One day, I asked him why he doesn't use his keys, and he replied that he loves to see the happiness on my face when I open the door for him. He also likes it when I greet him with a smile and ask how his day was.
He even admitted that sometimes he purposely waits outside until I come to open the door. Whenever I asked Asher to go open the door, he would say that he wants to see my face instead of Asher's.
Since then, I have been eagerly waiting for him to return home every day, and I stay close to the door so I can hear when he rings the bell. It has become a fun little tradition for us.
@OfficialDadyA2 Thanks 🙏
