This #EarthDay, we're proud to say that Mental Health Matters will aim to be a carbon neutral organisation by 2030.
Our plan sets out clear ambitious targets to reach the aspiration 10 years ahead of the overall NHS target.
We were pleased to hear the PM’s apology today, on behalf of the government, for the appalling historical treatment of LGBT veterans. We know this has had a damaging impact on the mental health of affected veterans.
Why are we, along with @MartinSLewis, calling for joined-up #MentalHealth & money support?
Because it could:
💜 help 27,000 more people with mental health problems recover each year
📈 double recovery rates for people with debt & depression
💷 save the government £144m/yr. 1/2
Did you know we helped over 3,000 people to remain in work, find paid employment or access training opportunities last year?

Why do so many think suicide is rising? Not just political speech-writers but people I happen to meet.
In last 20yrs we have had lowest rates since records began in 1861.
1. ⬇️ stigma - easier for families to talk about.
2. More media coverage.
3. (Misplaced) fears about Covid?
This #UniMentalHealthDay, we want to highlight the challenges that university students face and raise awareness of the need to invest in services that are accessible to students in their time of need.
Students at university can face several challenges, from loneliness and isolation to financial and academic pressures.
We gathered data from over 100 universities in England to understand more about student mental health and the support available.
