Day 2 of the workshop involved training the volunteers drawn from @Krcs_NRbBranch on proposal writing. We also engaged them in preparing different mock funding proposals, which they could pitched to donors.

We started our 3-day workshop with volunteers from Kenya Red Cross, representing the communities in Mathare and Mukuru areas. Day 1 was about Financial literacy (Saving, budgeting, resource mobilization for CBOs & Record Keeping). Day 2 we'll discuss Advocacy & proposal writing.

One thing I have learnt over the years is to be in control of my narrative. I have learnt that accepting that I am constantly learning doesn’t make me weak but makes me knowledgeable. I have learnt that asking questions doesn’t make me stupid but makes learn more. Most importantly, I have learnt to leave my house every morning with a plan to learn something new from anyone and I mean, anyone! I love this for me. It’s my truth!
