The Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention and Human Security joins many other voices in the world in raising the alarm about the genocidal threats being made by U.S. President Donald Trump against the state and the people of Iran. “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again,“ he posted on Truth Social at 8 AM this morning, threatening nothing less than collective annihilation.
The President’s language demonstrates how radicalized the U.S. government has become under his second administration. In just one year of this administration’s virtually unchallenged brutality against immigrants and trans people at home and support for one of the world’s most brutal genocides abroad, the U.S. government seems to have begun to embrace genocidal thinking in all of its conduct at home and abroad.
It is imperative that the U.S. President be stopped from committing war crimes, crimes against humanity, and possibly genocide against Iran’s ancient civilization.
The burden to act rests with powerholders in the U.S., who must decide immediately whether to prevent these crimes or choose to be complicit in them. If they choose the latter, they can be sure that history will not look kindly on them.
The world is at a crossroads. President Trump has announced, in no uncertain terms, his intention to commit the most heinous crime imaginable against the people of Iran, in retaliation for the Iranian government’s efforts to defend itself against an illegal war of aggression. If world leaders allow the U.S. to “obliterate” Iran, there will not be peace in the world for a very long time. Obliteration will become the norm, and no country, no region, no peoples will be safe from it. Not only will international law become meaningless – more so that it is even now – but also the most extreme form of attack will be the starting point for all future military engagements and genocide will grow like a fungus to rapidly consume our planet.

I have not seen a single mainstream media outlet give this the attention it deserves.
Israel blew up an entire Lebanese town, an ancient place. It should be headline news. There’s footage of it happening.
Imagine this was your town, and you saw every building blown up by a terrorist army to prevent you from ever returning. You would at the very least expect wall to wall coverage. Instead it passes without a word.
It’s not the only town Israel has blown up. And sadly it probably won’t be the last.
The wife of Dr. Hossam Abu Safieh is pleading with the world to intervene urgently to save his life, asserting that "his only crime was saving the lives of the wounded," and demanding immediate action before he dies in prison.
Nobody is talking about this!!!!
Father Pierre was trying to help displaced people and families, last month, and was killed by Israel.
He stayed to serve his congregation, and other Lebanese displaced and impacted by the invasion. He lost his life because of it.
Happy Easter, Americans. Your tax dollars supplied the weapons that killed this priest earlier this month in southern Lebanon. He was killed in a double-tap strike; he had been tending to the wounded when the Israeli army fired again and killed him.
Unfortunately, no one cares about us anymore. Frankly, we are hungry and need food and medicine.

They assassinated Dr. Mahmoud after being shocked that surgeries were still continuing in northern Gaza despite the displacement of doctors and the shutdown of hospitals.
Although he was newly graduated, he performed hundreds of successful surgeries and saved many wounded lives with courage and dedication.
His story of heroism spread, so he was targeted by a missile while moving between medical points where he served his people.
He passed away as a martyr, loyal to humanity—please remember him in your prayers and share his story so his name remains written in the pages of honor and glory. 🤲🇵🇸💔
Jalal is gone.. and the screams that no one heard have finally fallen silent.
After repeated pleas to save his life and secure medical treatment outside the besieged Gaza Strip, the infant Jalal Al-Qatash has passed away—a victim of his illness and international neglect.
Sudan - A drone attack reportedly carried out by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) targeted Al‑Jabalain Hospital in White Nile State. This unacceptable assault resulted in at least 10 fatalities, including seven medical staff.

I know many of u are already enraged after seeing kids burned alive & starved to death in Gaza. Watching Palestine 36 might push ur anger even further (tho u don’t really need it), but it’s a stark reminder of how they sneaked in, destroyed our lives and took our land
What message does attacking hospitals, pharmaceutical companies and the Pasteur Institute as a medical research center in Iran convey? As a specialist physician, I urge WHO, the Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders and physicians worldwide to respond to this crime against humanity
