As we move towards a global population of 8 billion people, how can we sustainably feed ourselves without contributing to climate change and biodiversity loss? Big questions being addressed in London this week at @BlueFoodSummit
Absolutely fascinating discussion around marine ecosystem restoration and carbon sequestration between @AdamBaske@S_J_Howlett@Steve_Crooks and Daniel Crockett from @Bluemarinef@BlueFoodSummit Will definitely be following up on this on Springwise so watch this space
Looking forward to attending the Blue Food Innovation Summit tomorrow in London. I will be participating in the 14:30 session on Wednesday about unlocking blue carbon. Please come and find me to chat further!

Thank you @Bright_TideUK for inviting me to join the panel discussion last night around challenges and opportunities surrounding blue carbon. It was great to represent @NatureMetrics and talk about how we can use robust and scalable biodiversity data to build holistic credits
Last night @Bright_TideUK hosted an event on #BlueCarbon 🌊🌱
Inspiring speakers discussed the opportunities and challenges of blue carbon, and above all the importance of holistic implementation methods.

Hear from our CEO @KatieCritchlow and Irena Spazzapan of @SystemiqCapital in @news_impinv this #InternationalWomensDay!
"NatureMetrics' UK-based female-led team is pioneering the use of DNA-based monitoring in pursuit of better biodiversity data."

Very proud to be part of a company where the majority of executive staff are women, and a wide number of staff are comprised of women with PhDs and higher education 🙌
Today, on #InternationalWomensDay, we're shining a spotlight on the incredible women that drive us to be as successful as possible as we move towards a greener and more equal future.
Promoting women in STEM fields must be a primary focus for our sector.

@rick7575 From conferences that I have been to recently, the focus was on designating and delineating, without much consideration on quality and improving the state of current MPAs. For example, bottom towed gear still allowed in many MPAs. Worried that the focus in quantity not quality...
It was great fun taking part in my first panel discussion. Technology has the power to scale up data collection and monitoring of MPAs, providing us with a range of tools that build a strong evidence base. @FaunaFloraInt@oceandiagnstics and smartWhales
@NatureMetrics is all set up and ready for the week at @IMPAC5Canada in the Ocean Expo Hall. Come along tomorrow at 3:30pm as I join the panel discussion on the application of new technologies to improve MPA monitoring.
I am so grateful to have gone through this experience with the gang at @LecReefs ! Thank you one and all, looking forward to celebrating at graduation 2023!
It was absolutely wonderful to catch up with the gang at @LecReefs especially after covid and finally finishing the PhD! What a way to celebrate 4 years of my life, so lucky that it was with these amazing humans!
Enjoying a talk by @ProfJGrey with @WildTroutTrust at Friends of the Dales conference on what we can do to restore rivers to help improve biodiversity to support trout throughout their life cycle. Build it and they will come!
Great lectureship opportunity at a fab university located next to the Lake District! The REEFS team are an incredible bunch of interdisciplinary scientists working on a range of issues related to coral reefs. Check it out!
