For me, the greatest significance of Trump is that he completely shattered the illusion bubble of "American media independence." This realization was, to me, an almost mind-blowing cognitive reconstruction—like a dose of cold water to the head.

Before coming to the United States, I already had expectations about how greedy and evil the Washington establishment could be—after all, politics is inevitably about backroom deals, interest trading, and compromise. But the utter hypocrisy of the American media, acting both as referee and player while pretending to be pure and neutral? I had absolutely zero psychological preparation for that before arriving in America.

During the 2020 election, the American media’s series of jaw-dropping moves—directly suppressing the Hunter Biden laptop story, comprehensively manipulating pandemic data and public narratives—stripped the American media completely naked in public, leaving not even their underwear on.
