अपने एक सैनिक विकास सिंह की माँ की खातिर पूरे सिस्टम को हिला देने वाले इस कमांडेंट की इसी महीने ITBP ने भूरि-भूरि प्रशंसा की थी।

इसी मई में कमांडेंट गौरव पश्चिम बंगाल के डायमंड हार्बर में इलेक्शन ड्यूटी पर थे।

रास्ते में एक बुरी तरह Injured मिला।

सब कुछ छोड़कर उसकी जान बचाई।

गाड़ी में बिठाकर अस्पताल पहुंचाया।

हर सेवा से ऊपर मनुष्यता की सेवा को रखा।

ITBP ने मनुष्यता और कर्तव्यपरायणता की इस मिसाल को अपने सोशल मीडिया हैंडल पर लिखा,

और कमांडेंट गौरव प्रसाद की खुले ह्दय से सराहना की।

कमांडेंट गौरव का यही जज़्बा उन्हें अपने सिपाही विकास सिंह की खातिर,

दल बल समेत कानपुर पुलिस कमिश्नरेट में दस्तक देने के लिए ले गया।

सिपाही विकास सिंह एक गलत ऑपरेशन के चलते अरसे से अपनी माँ का कटा हाथ लेकर भटक रहा था,

मगर कोई सुनने को तैयार नहीं था!

कमांडेंट गौरव के एक स्टैंड ने पूरे सिस्टम का स्क्रू टाइट कर दिया!!

सारे अधिकारी एक्शन में आए।

अस्पताल पर एफआईआर हुई।

एक माँ के ज़ख़्मों पर, एक बेटे के भग्न कलेजे पर, कुछ हद तक सही, मरहम लगा।

हैरानी तो तब हुई जब कानपुर पुलिस कमिश्नर ने ITBP के ऐसे शानदार कमांडेंट के खिलाफ ITBP DG को शिकायत भेज दी।

कायदे से तो अपनी यूनिट और इंसाफ़ के लिए खड़े होने की खातिर,

ITBP के ऐसे शानदार कमांडेंट को वीरता के पुरुस्कार से नवाज़ा जाना चाहिए।

जीवन का सूत्र बस इतना ही है कि जो अपने जवान का सगा नहीं होगा,

वो देश और मातृभूमि का क्या खाक सगा होगा!!

पर पब्लिक Perception तो यही है कि ITBP के Commandant ने वही किया, जो एक लीडर को इन हालातों में करना चाहिए था।

ITBP का जवान विकास सिंह अपनी माँ का कटा हाथ लेकर इंसाफ़ के लिए दरवाजे दरवाजे भटक रहा था ,

पर इंसाफ़ की नींद ही तब टूटी जब ITBP के फ़ार्मेशन ने कानपुर पुलिस कमिश्नरेट को घेर लिया!!

अब वो सारे एक्शन हो रहे हैं जो अभी तक अनिर्णय और लापरवाही की छत पर खर्राटा मारकर सो रहे थे!!

राष्ट्रकवि रामधारी सिंह दिनकर इसीलिए लिख गए हैं-
