I also thought I’d mention that the ages for human presence at @WhiteSandNps are compatible with one of our proposed ‘viable time windows’ for a coastal migration. We highlighted the interval between 24,500-22,000 yr ago as one such window.

Big news: USGS scientists & partners have confirmed, with 2 new lines of evidence, that human footprints found in White Sands Nat'l Park show that people lived in North America 21-23,000 yrs ago—much earlier than previously thought!

One of my favorite finds in #Rome after #INQUARoma2023 wrapped up, was the Pietro Canonica museum in the @VillaBorghese. The funerary monuments (such as The Gust of Wind) were particularly haunting, and #TheAbyss sculpture was truly a masterpiece. Plus I was the only one there!
