Not sure who to vote for for Public School Board Trustee in Edm? Consider @SaadiqSumar he has a good track record & will fight for what’s best for our kids in public education.
Please fellow Edmontonians, get out and vote. Each vote is critical.
I’m standing behind:
Mayor = @AndrewKnack
Councillor = @ Keren Teng
Ed Public School Trustee = @SaadiqSumar
Advance polls open this weekend. Make your voice heard. Vote independent, not a party! Please
The UCP will try to blame Ottawa for this, but don't be fooled, THIS is an example of the real problems they don't want you to see - so they distract by creating problems that don't exist and attack trans people to solve those problems.
The Alberta UCP government is forcing women and the parents of girls to sign a document that describes what genitals they have and what they were born with. To "protect" women and girls. Sit with that for a bit.
My son starts kindergarten next year so I wanted to see how his future school would benefit from funding that matched the national average.
We must do better for our kids.

If the teachers go on strike for fair wages, do you know what to do with your kids?
Take them to the public library and have them start reading all the books the UCP government is banning. #ableg#abed#abpoli
If you truly cared about fairness in sport, you don't ban trans girls, you ensure women and girls have access to the same resources, coaches money, etc that privileges men's and boys' sports. You ensure people with disabilities can play. You ensure not only rich kids can play.
Just like the "This isn't a gender affirming / patient care banning announcement this is a safety announcement" ... that you have to qualify what it isn't at the get go suggest that's exactly what it is.
Thank you so much to the @EPSANetwork for inviting me to your meeting tonight!
This bulletin in the foyer was a perfect metaphor. Society is full of people from all walks of life, and it takes us all to make public education work.
Thanks for the chance to meet your community 🙂
@wingkarli is an incredible advocate for public education. I’ve gotten to know her over the last few years in my role as a Trustee. I’m so very grateful to have her support.

I met @aasingleton17 at the @PIAlberta conference earlier this year. We have many things in common: we’re both community builders, advocates, and (perhaps most importantly) dads. I’m grateful to have his support in this nomination race!

Thank you for your dedicated service, @theJagmeetSingh.
Your leadership gave Albertans and Canadians struggling with the everyday cost of living affordable childcare and dental care and the beginnings of a national pharmacare system.
While yesterday was tough for New Democrats, you can look back with satisfaction on what you've achieved for Canadians.
Today is the last day to buy an @albertaNDP to vote for @SaadiqSumar in the Edmonton-Ellerslie nomination.
I trust he will be a strong voice for our riding in the legislature.
Congratulations to Prime Minister Mark Carney on his victory, and to all the newly elected MPs across Canada.
It’s now time to set aside the divisive battles and come together to serve Canada in a time when the nation is under existential threat.
For Alberta, this means working together with the new federal government to make deals that benefit Albertans.
Canadians are tired of the endless political fights. Spending millions on a Fair Deal panel doesn't lower grocery bills, make insurance affordable, or create sustainable jobs.
This is not the time to gamble with the future of our province.
We need a federal government that understands Alberta's economic and social significance. We need a government that doesn't just pay lip service to supporting our major industries—including agriculture and energy—but one that pursues real solutions to improve Albertans' lives.
This means working together to build national projects, like Alberta's New Democrats did when we were in power. It means regulations that support Alberta industry and jobs, while continuing to fight climate change meaningfully.
And it means making a deal on health care, pharmacare, dental care, and childcare that helps Albertans get the services they desperately need.
Our campaign is powered by people who believe in a better Alberta. We want you to be part of this movement!
Join the party before 11:59pm on April 30 and help shape our future.
