SONA brings the Government’s legislative and development priorities into public view. The key issue for citizens and stakeholders is how these priorities translate into programmes and results. #ZIMSONA2026#NDS2
What a performance! Having President Mnangagwa in the stands clearly boosted their motivation. Combine that with the incredible atmosphere in the upgraded stadium and fan support, and it’s no surprise they gave this outstanding performance.
A proud and spirited performance by our national team tonight at the National Sports Stadium.
While the final score did not go our way against the Democratic Republic of Congo, our players gave everything on the pitch and treated us to a genuinely magnificent game of football. They showed exceptional character, skill, and resilience against formidable opponents, proving that our football is moving in the right direction.
Defeats are tough, but they are also the foundation of future victories. We stand firmly behind the team and the technical staff as they regroup for the rest of the AFCON qualification campaign.
Thank you to the thousands of patriotic fans who filled the stadium and roared until the final whistle. Our journey continues!
Set your reminders! ⏰ Tomorrow at 2:00 PM, President Mnangagwa addresses a joint sitting of the Senate and National Assembly for the 2026 State of the Nation Address. Expect key updates on economic progress and upcoming laws.
