Remarkably little information has emerged about this Jewish guy who made death threats against two Manchester mosques.

No comment from Greater Manchester Police or from West Yorkshire Police (the area where he lived).

No media seems to have attended his trial. The few who have reported on it seem to be regurgitating a brief press release from the Crown Prosecution Service.

We all know if this was a Muslim making death threats against synagogues there would be top politicians making statements, it would lead news bulletins, and the media would be pouring over his background, motivations and doorstepping his mosque.

Days earlier, three children were murdered in Southport.
The internet decided the killer was a Muslim. He wasn't.

Didn't matter. Mosques burned. Hotels burned.

And a nurse in Widnes started handing out weapons.

Sharpened scissors to a colleague. Take them in case the muzzys come.
A weighted steel chain, and how to swing it.
Lock the doors. In case a Muslim gets in.

Her colleague laughed it off. She was deadly serious.

Imagine dropping your mother off that week.
Signing the book. Watching the door close. Telling yourself she's safe.

She was on the other side of that door.

She reported it.

Two years later, the Nursing and Midwifery Council found it proved.
Racially motivated, they wrote.

Muslims aren't a race.

One line down, they had the word. A widely recognised Islamophobic trope.
Used it once. Went back to racial.

No headline used it at all.

ITV Granada. A trade site. The Echo.
No BBC. No Sky. No Guardian.

Parliament has the number for that month.
Before the riots, 16% of Muslim women feared for their safety. After, 75%.

Nobody stopped it.

They let the marches march.
They let MPs stand up and swing.
They let the papers write about us, never to us.

They block the planning application.
We get a mosque, they move to close it. We ask for another, they block that too.
Security funding comes with strings. When it comes.

We can't agree what day Eid falls on. Some army.

This is what keeps happening.

Salford. Two years of masked kids on bikes, rocks through the window.
Can't sleep in our own home.

Sheffield. A Dua sign vandalised at Shiregreen Cemetery.
Can't pray over our dead.

London. Salsabil, 21, threatened on a bus for her niqab.
Can't catch a bus.

Norwich. A derelict pub called the Islamification of Britain before a brick moved.
Can't plan for a mosque.

And before any of that.

Widnes. A nurse with a steel chain in her pocket, waiting on an army that was never coming.
Can't leave our parents in a care home.

Nobody came for that care home.
The only weapon in the building was already on the payroll.

The only army coming is theirs, and it's coming down Whitehall on Saturday.
Nobody stopped that one either.

21-year-old Gabriel Levy, a Jewish man from Wakefield, has been jailed for 28 months at Leeds Crown Court after making anonymous death threats against two mosques in Manchester.

He called Al-Sunnah Mosque from a withheld number and said: “I’m going to come to your mosque and kill you.”

Just a few hours later, police went to his home, arrested him and seized his mobile phone.

Further investigations found that he had also called Iqra Mosque on the same day. He told a member of staff: “I am going to kill you Muslim.”

The police also found concerning messages on his phone containing Islamophobic and racist language, as well as other hateful content.

He claimed he made the threats in response to the attack on a synagogue in Manchester.

במהלך ניסיוני להיכנס לכפר הותקפתי מילולית ופיזית על ידי כוחות הכיבוש. לפני המחסום, כשידיי מאחורי גבי, אחד החיילים הפיל עצמו ארצה וטען שתקפתי אותו. בהמשך דחפו אותי באלימות עד רכבי. על האירוע הזה הגשתי תלונה.

אם כך מתייחסים כוחות הכיבוש לחבר כנסת מכהן, אפשר רק לדמיין מה חווים הפלסטינים מדי יום ומה היקף השקרים המופצים כדי להצדיק את המציאות הזו.

לא נכנעתי. הגעתי לבתים ונפגשתי עם המשפחות הכלואות בביתן.

על הקהילה הבינלאומית להתערב באופן מיידי ולפעול לסיום המצור. אבל בכך אין די - הכיבוש כולו חייב להסתיים, כדי שהצדק ינצח ושני עמי הארץ יוכלו לחיות בשלום, ביטחון ושגשוג!
