@leesearcher Is YiZhiBo relationship w/ Weibo similar to mini-programs on WeChat? Live-streaming and "wang hong" culture in China - reduces the "distance" between fans and brands; "Instagram-famous". Will brands start latching onto live-streaming trends (i.e. ASMR, "mukbang", etc.)?
@annalovesdm@leesearcher#SlideIntoMyDM Absolutely agree - not only is it just about the targeted audience that the influencer is related to, but also their image and associations (i.e. Nike and Kaepernick).
@leesearcher#SlideIntoMyDM I just checked my own FB and realized that my own ad settings were not set as private at all... Definitely brings up the controversy between marketing and business ethics. To what extent is marketing unethical in regards to info collection?
@annalovesdm@leesearcher@SCMPNews#SlideIntoMyDM To my knowledge, you still have to consent to linking the mini-program to your actual WeChat account (similar to having your FB account linked to IG) - but good question about how much information is shared between WeChat and mini-program.
@leesearcher@SCMPNews#SlideIntoMyDM I didn't realize how useful these mini-apps were until I recently bought tickets for an exhibition in SH - gives accessibility, convenience and ease of use. Curious how the gaming industry will start utilizing this as a teaser platform, particularly in the US.
