DYK: The world’s 522 PDBs hold US$23.2 trillion in assets and are responsible for 10-12 % of global financing. Their annual investments reach up to some US$1.4 trillion. This is more than the micro-finance sector or official development assistance!
Africa has solutions to face uncertainty:
✅mobilising local institutions
✅increasing regional trade
✅build systems that create local wealth and jobs
✅bring in the private sector
✅invest in agriculture

⏳ One day to go! ⏳
At #IFADGoverningCouncil we’ll go to the first mile, where small-scale farmers grow the food that nourishes their communities and the world. 🌍
Check out the agenda 👇
The food we eat travels many miles, but the first mile is often the hardest. Small-scale farmers face climate change, hunger and poverty – yet they grow the food that feeds the world.
At #IFADGoverningCouncil, we advocate for investments in the first mile for a better future.
Investing in rural development is not optional — it is central to achieving global sustainability, resilience, food security, peace and stability.
RT if you agree! 💛
